MMS has named Chayton Todd as the '24-'25 School Year Teacher of the Year! Todd is a 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher.

TONIGHT! May 6 at 6 pm the Metter Chorus (Middle/High) will perform at the K8 Cafeteria! Free admission! Please come support the Chorus program!

Metter High School's Tiger Baseball was notified of their All-Region Honors this past week for Region 3A-Division 1. Rustan Rigdon was named Offensive Player of the Year. Carter Gainous was named 1st Team, ShortStop; Caelan Vernon was named 1st Team-Pitcher. Honorable Mentions went to Kahne Brown, Lawson Bryant, Kaden Hobbs, Hanley Sims and Cace West.

⚽️🐅 MHS Girls Soccer will enter Round 3 of the GHSA State Playoffs on Monday, April 29 against Mt. Vernon at Metter's The Jungle at 5 pm. Due to the construction and school traffic release, please enter the "middle/second" entrance between Metter High School and the K8 Complex AFTER 3:30 pm. Gates to the stadium will not open until 3:30 pm. Tickets are GoFan electronic tickets only and are $7 each. Tickets will go on sale this afternoon (Friday). We will update this post with the direct link at that time. Come out and cheer on your history-making Tigers Soccer Team! 🧡🖤

⚾️GHSA Baseball State Playoff Announcement: Round 2 of the Baseball State Playoffs will begin on Monday, April 29 at 4 pm in Metter at Tiger Stadium. It will be a doubleheader against Crawford County. GHSA requires GoFan electronic tickets for admission. No Booster Passes are allowed. $10 per ticket. Tickets will be available for purchase on GoFan Friday afternoon. Gates will open at 3:30 due to school traffic. Remember to please enter the school using the "middle" entrance AFTER 3:30 pm (one entrance past Metter High School coming from Metter) due to construction and follow the road around to the baseball field. 🐅🏆 GO TIGERS!!

Attention: Minor accident involving a school bus this morning on South Lewis Street. No students were on board. There were no injuries and minimal damage.

Come one, come all, to the greatest show on earth: The Reading Carnival. We had a wonderful turn out at the annual Reading Carnival. Thank you to all those who enjoyed the booths and activities and those who shared their experiences with reading with us. We had close to 400 attend.

The Candler County School District will host its annual Reading Carnival on Saturday, April 20 from 11 am until 1 pm at the K8 Complex. There will be lots of free activities for all ages and free lunch for all! Please join us! ¡Sábado! FREE Sports Physicals will be given to MMS students wanting to participate in sports next school year on Tuesday, April 16 immediately after school. Physicals will be performed by physicians from Candler Medical Group and will be done in the MHS Field House at NO COST to the student. Get your physical form from Ms. Jessie Givens in the MMS Front Office, have a parent complete it, and bring to the physical with you on Tuesday.

Metter Middle School Tigers Baseball Team is the Southeast Middle School Baseball Champions after defeating ECI today 11-10! 🏆⚾🧡🖤🐅

MMS Baseball will play for the Championship TOMORROW, Saturday, April 13 at 10am against ECI! The game will be played at HOME at Metter Recreation Dept. Cash Admission $5. Sorrry, no booster passes due to this being a playoff game. Come out and support our Middle School Tigers!!
